Frequently Asked Questions

How do I bid on something I like?

While the auction is open on Instagram, you can bid by commenting the amount of money you would like to pay for the item. It’s as easy as that! If you would prefer to bid anonymously, reach out to us via email or direct message. Let us know the maximum amount you would like to pay for the piece, and we’ll bid on your behalf only up to that amount, which we will keep secret.

How do I pay for the piece?

Depending on what the artist would like, your donation will either go directly to the organization or to the artist for them to donate. If it is going directly to the organization, you simply email us your receipt for donation, and we’ll connect you with the artist for shipping. If the money is going to the artist first, we’ll connect you right away to work that out via PayPal, Venmo, or whatever works best for the two of you.

Is my donation tax deductible?

If your donation is going directly to a charity, and that charity has 501c3 designation, then yes. Please refer to the policy of the specific organization. If the money goes to the artist to be donated, it is not. Artists For Reparations is not technically a charity and does not have 501c3 designation.
