<image:caption>Gays and Lesbians In a Transgender Society (GLITS) is the project of Ceyenne Doroshow supporting Black trans women who have been released from the Rikers Island jail with housing and numerous other life-saving services. In 2020, this project was able to contribute to their success in purchasing a twelve-unit apartment building in Queens and broaden the services they provide. <image:title>Past Recipients - For The Gworls</image:title>
<image:caption>For the Gworls’ Rent and Gender-Affirming Surgery Fund accepts applications from Black transgender people nationwide. With this fund, they actively fight to reduce homelessness rates in the Black transgender community, as well as lower the risk for affirmative surgeries being done in ways that put them at greater health risks. Now more than ever, this work is especially important considering that many Black transgender people are being laid off in absurdly high numbers, which is only exacerbating the terrible conditions that Black transgender people disproportionately live in.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Past Recipients - House of Tulip</image:title>
<image:caption>House of Tulip is raising funds to buy and restore a 6-unit property on N. Claiborne Ave, currently unoccupied and blighted. This will be our pilot campus, and it will house up to 9 TGNC people. House of Tulip isn’t an emergency shelter or a transitional living house. It’s a long-term investment in housing solutions. By operating as a land trust, the entire city of New Orleans (as well as anywhere we expand beyond our pilot campus) will benefit from the increase in affordable housing supply and safeguards against exclusionary development and gentrification. House of Tulip will provide zero-barrier housing to trans and gender nonconforming people in need of a safe place to stay while growing the supply of affordable housing in New Orleans.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Works For Sale - Carlos Motta</image:title>
<image:caption>Deviations to Love # 7 (2013) archival inkjet print (unframed), 11 x 14 inches. An artist's proof, courtesy of the artist and P.P.O.W Gallery, New York. Deviations to Love is a series of 7 images depicting physical encounters between individuals and groups. Holding hands, raised fists held together, several hands grasping each other, a kiss and entangled bodies represent queer forms of affection. These pieces were conceived as the set for Gender Talents: A Special Address a symposium convened and designed by Carlos Motta, which was held at Tate Modern’s The Tanks on February 2, 2013. The images were projected all around the Tank creating an environment for the discursive sessions that asked what is at stake when abandoning or collapsing the gender binary in favor of a more generous understanding of gender and sexuality. For sale for a donation of $1,500 benefitting GLITS Inc.</image:caption>
